Client Service Philosophy

John is committed to providing value-added solutions to clients. These solutions are the result of listening to client concerns and problems and then matching resources both within and outside of the firm to help solve the problem. By being proactive with clients, his goal is to identify and deliver value to clients well in excess of our fees.

Background and Experience

From 1971 to 1986, John was on the professional staff of two international CPA firms, KPMG Peat Marwick and Ernst & Young. His responsibilities included functioning as client service executive on a wide variety of engagements including a Fortune 500 Company with worldwide operations. Since founding the firm in 1986, John has focused on specialized consulting services to clients including profit improvement systems, financing and capital issues, financial modeling, and litigation support.

Board member of Virginia Western Community College Foundation

Former board member of Downtown Roanoke, Inc.

Former Chairman of the American Red Cross - Roanoke ValleyChapter and Budget and Investment Committee

Former board member of the Better Business Bureau of Roanoke Valley

Member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Virginia and Tennessee Societies of Certified Public Accountants

Education

John graduated cum laude from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He has also received the AICPA designation for Tax Planning and Advising Closely Held Businesses.
